We are broken and in prayer for the devastated people of Haiti and the church there. We are praying that today the dire need for relief can be miraculously met in the face of such intense circumstances and ask you to pray to that end. As a body of Christ, we ask that you join us in taking action in two ways right now:
Give. We encourage you to visit www.worldvision.org and donate now to the relief efforts they are spearheading. Through World Vision, your gift will help distribute life-saving relief supplies — including food, clean water, blankets, and tents — to children and families devastated by the earthquake and aftershocks in Haiti.
Pray. Below are 4 suggestions for prayer:
Pray for the overwhelming physical and emotional pain that people are suffering through and that God would actively comfort them through his Spirit, Church, and the movement of relief and workers.
Pray for the church of Haiti as they minister in their grief that they would find unfathomable strength in Christ.
Pray for the thousands of broken families, orphans, and widows that God would provide hope and miraculous intervention.
Pray as millions of tough spiritual conversations are taking place globally due to this "act of God". That the world would see the response and reality of Christ through his body giving and acting in love.
